Space and page permissions

Assign, revoke, and modify space or page permissions to individual users, groups, or anonymous users. The Free plan doesn’t allow permission settings for spaces or pages.

Macros

Macros add interactivity to your Confluence pages with extra functionality or dynamic content.

For example, use the Jira Issues macro to attach live updates of Jira issues, epics, and reports to a page. Or, use the Status macro to update your team on your project’s status.

Structured page tree organization

Organize the content in your pages easily with a hierarchy. Page tree hierarchies can make finding work quick.

Guests

For each paid user, admins can add up to five guests for no additional cost or licenses.

There are no limits to how many spaces you can share or how many guests you can have in each space. However, each guest is limited to a single space.

Build flexible rules to reduce manual tasks. Premium users have 1,000 rule executions per paid monthly user.

For example, a Confluence Cloud Premium site with 200 users will have 200,000 monthly rule executions each month.

Enterprise sites have unlimited automation executions.

Number of sites

This is the number of sites (also called “instances”) you can license based on the subscription plan you choose.

One site is typically enough for most small to medium organizations because you can still have multiple pages on a single site for different teams to maintain their knowledge bases, workflows, etc.

Enterprise subscribers often opt for multiple sites, up to 150 per product, to:

• Offer organizational autonomy to independent brands
• Improve security through separating data by region or department
• Customize instances based on Marketplace apps, project configurations, and more

User limit per site

This is the maximum number of users or user licenses you can add to each of your Confluence sites.

Archive and unarchive pages

Archive outdated pages to keep page trees organized with relevant content. Access archived pages any time for historical context.

Page insights

Get engagement analytics on page views and user views.

Password policies

Password policies help ensure best practices for user-created passwords in Atlassian cloud products. This helps reduce the risk of security breaches.

Domain verification and account capture

Domain verification lets an organization admin centrally manage all of the Atlassian accounts that use the company's domain.

Session duration management (desktop)

Session duration management allows an organization admin to set a session timeout value different from the default policy of 30 days. This means admins can control how long a team member can stay signed in without interacting with Atlassian.com.

All customer data stored within Atlassian cloud products and services is encrypted in transit over public networks using Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2+ with Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS) to protect it from unauthorized disclosure or modification.

Data drives on servers holding customer data and attachments in Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Management Cloud, Jira Work Management Cloud, Confluence Cloud, Statuspage, Opsgenie, and Trello use full disk, industry-standard AES-256 encryption at rest.
